The implementation of land plants telecommunication is the prerequisite to start the planning stages of installations plant and monitoring of the territory, so as to achieve two objectives at same time: minimizing exposure and reducing the risk perception by the population.
To improve the usability and access to technical and topographical
information typical of a database concerning telecom’s plant, Norman
Research has developed a range of software and utilities that enable
to implement a database that can be updated in real time, sources
of High and Low frequency field that can be interfaced with the
georeferencing of GIS maps and a website.
The database contains a characterization of "sites" based
on:
- Identification code;
- Places where there's the source;
- Topographical identification information;
- Photographing;
- GIS mapping of geo (latitude, longitude, altitude);
- Identification using digital orthophotos;
- Technical information (data sheet);
- Use of all information via the website easy to read and to update
in real time.
One of the most significant projects carried out in this area is
related to the implementation of the database of broadcasting and
main power lines existing in the province of Caserta, aims to provide
guidelines to the municipalities of technical and administrative
support for the issues of electromagnetic pollution caused by the
broadcasting stations or power distribution lines.
The objective of the project (with the participation of Seconda
Università di Napoli - Dipartimento di Scienze Ambientali
and the Assessorato all'Ambiente della Provincia di Caserta) was
to get at the definition of some useful technical tips, and identify
methods action, from a pattern-type of Municipal regulations for
the installation and operation of telecommunications equipment for
cellular telephony, in order to prevent and avoid the promotion
of disputes between municipalities and phone companies or electrical
power network operators.
