In
the latest years interest of peoples for all issues related to the
harmful effects of electromagnetic fields (EMF), commonly called
"electro smog", grew up. This, in effect, has been caused by both
the understandable alarm for the potential risk to the health of
people exposed to electromagnetic fields and the increasing spread
of the EMF sources. |

The continuous monitoring of electromagnetic fields
is the tool that Italian control authorities of environmental health
(Ispra, ARPA Regions, Ministries of Environment, Health and Telecommunications,
etc.) deem the most effective for either a better planning of additional
BTS installations on the territory, or a lowering the level of social
tension and concern among peoples. It shows its effectiveness as means
of:
- information towards citizens;
- control for Municipal Administrations and Agencies;
- planning of radio-telecommunications network.
The continuous monitoring system of electromagnetic radiation consists
of:
- Monitoring stations equipped with isotropic sensors at high and
low frequency;
- Data logger;
- Software for elaborating and managing the data;
- Website with geo-referenced maps and orthophotos of the city;
It fully meets the requirements for:
- Scientific accuracy of certified measurements;
- Information based on parameters and protocols complied with actual
standards;
- Data showing in a web form very friendly approachable and understandable
by citizens.
Please login
the web area of data related to monitoring campaigns in course.
Steps:
1) clicking on the above link, you can see the territory sites where
the monitoring system is working;
2) starting from the “active” Regions, you can search
the City of your interest;
3) referring to its web site, you can: a) check which areas are monitored
and the relevant measures; b) examine additional available information
like database of antennas installed on the interested area,standard
references, high and low frequency measurements performed, press review,
etc.
